On the road between La Fortuna and Lake Arenal private grounds have been developed into two Spas. Either one can be the perfect setting for a relaxing day, or better yet, evening (especially if the Arenal volcano is active).
The “real” Tabacon Hot Springs offer five natural mineral pools at varying temperatures (one with a swim up bar) set in tropical gardens, an indoor hot tub, a waterslide and a hot waterfall. Massages and mud packs are available. There is a restaurant as well as a wet-bar.

SMALL TABACON
Across the road from Balneario Tabacon is a shorter section of the river where shallow bathing pools are set in a tropical garden. There are toilets, changing rooms and towels available.

The tour includes: Transportation in our comfortable bus, flash light, bilingual guide, National Park entrance fee, beverages.

We start with 25 minutes drive to the west side of the Arenal Volcano, where we will hike through the rain forest.

During the hike it is possible to see many plants, birds and other animal species that call the rainforest home. Throughout this existing tour you will be remained of the power of nature each time you hear the volcano’s activity. We will get close enough so that you can enjoy the eruptions of the volcano, but always from a safe distance. After that, we will take you to a view point where you can watch the volcano while enjoying a drink.
Later on we will take you to Tabacon Hot Springs where you can relax for an hour before the tour ends.

At the Hot Springs two choices are available: The Tabacon Resort or the natural hot springs.
