This tour star with an approximately two hour drives to Los Chiles. Our guide will describe the most important sights along the way including orange gloves, and fields of papaya, passion fruit, yucca, cacao, ornamental plants and sugar cane. On arrival in Los Chiles we will take a 15 minute break at small local restaurant before continuing the tour. After the break two hour ride up the Frío River in a covered boat to entrance of the refuge. Along the way we will be able to see some of many species that inhabit the area such as sloth, iguanas, Caymans, lizards, bats, three kinds of monkeys as well as a wide variety of flora and birds. We will enjoy a delicious typical Costa Rica lunch on the riverbank (vegetation food available), before returning to Los Chiles and continuing to La Fortuna.
